<h3>What is the The New Colossus poem?</h3>

The poem was based on a heated debate on immigration. The New Colossus was written by Emma Lazarus to help raise funds for construction of the towering sculpture's pedestal. One of rhe popular line states "<em>Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free."</em>
