First of al, choose a region.

But also, what do humans do to affect the environment? (We litter, We pollute, We don't reuse enough, and that affects the environment because...)

For example littering affects the environment because animals can consume the litter, killing the animal.

Effect of people's activities on the environment

People's activities, if they are of commercial nature, often leave a negative impact on the environment. Humans have ceaselessly been exploiting the natural resources hosted by the surrounding environment so that the routine and commercial human activities can be performed flawlessly.

This has, in turn, resulted in the degradation of the environment in a number of ways. Various forms of pollutions caused majorly through the commercial activities of humans have contaminated almost all the abiotic substances like water, air, soil, etc.

Though abiotic, these substances form the basis of favorable living conditions for the entire biotic population on the planet. There are also a few activities performed by the people that help the environment thrive and protect itself from the negative impact caused by other human activities.

These activities include reducing, reusing and recycling of non-biodegradable waste, planting of trees, implementing measures for the conversation of environment and the components in it, etc.

The headlines below were taken from newspapers following natural disasters.
Elan Coil [88]
I believe the answer is C. This is because all three headlines include information about transportation systems (first one with air delays, second with road closures and third with roads being reopened) being effected by natural disasters.

Here are why the other ones are incorrect:

A. In headline 2 with Arizona, it states how wildfires caused road closures around the state and not the area of the wildfire (headline 1 also disproves this answer, since it says “Worst delays since 9/11”, meaning it effected a lot more than the nearby area).

B. None of these are predicting natural disasters occurred, as seen by some of the language: “Arizona Fires FORCE road closures” (present tense, not past).

D. These do not mention anything about railroads being immune, so it can’t be it.

Hope this helps!

Which term is defined as the number of people per unit of area
zlopas [31]
For humans, population density is the number of people per unit of area, usually quoted per square kilometer or square mile (which may include or exclude, for example, areas of water or glaciers). Commonly this may be calculated for a county, city, country, another territory or the entire world.
