Actions that are taken before or during an earthquake to reduce your chances of being hurt are

  1. Make or purchase an earthquake safety kit.
  2. Decrease the risk of damage and injury from an earthquake by identifying possible earthquake-sensitive areas near the home.
  3. During earthquakes stay far away from tall buildings and trees.
  4. Read instructions of NDRF and be prepared for Earthquakes.
  5. Earthquakes can also cause fires by damaging electrical power or gas lines, so shut down after getting alert before the disaster.
  6. In-home we can make earthquakes prone things and set them in a way to avoid major damage. Like attaching the Cupboard to the wall, etc.

These are some of the actions that will help us to prevent major damage during an earthquake.
