The option that expresses the main idea of the passage is this:

  • There are advantages to being sensitive and introverted

What is the main idea of the passage?

The main idea of the passage is that introverted children also have special abilities and can prove themselves when it is best suited to them. The author clearly shows that there are some positive aspects to being sensitive and introverted.

Susan Cain who is the author of the book explained the meaning of shyness and being introverted. Introverts had a different way of being social and were most time excellent in societies. So, children like that should be encouraged.

NEED ASAP
Dafna1 [17]

The author word choice of using words like ardour and avidity made it clear that the gentleman got very much pleasure reading based on the definitions of the two words. In fact, it's not a great stretch to say he had an addiction since it got in the way of his basic needs which is what the first sentence was basically shouting at the reader. My interpretation is that the man was to much in his thoughts to take care of himself. From that I concluded that him trying to understand the absolute meaning of Don Belianis broke his fragile state; the only thing that keep the gentleman going was his joyful understanding of complex books, but he couldn't understand a author of a great book's writing.

Read the paragraph below carefully and answer the question that follows.
babunello [35]

Answer: All of the collections from the food drive will go to the local food bank to be sent out to local families who are in need of the service.

The first option is the best revision of this sentence. The sentence avoids using slang, overly casual language or contractions. Moreover, it does not make any negative assumptions about the people who will receive the help (unlike the last option, which assumes these people are irresponsible). Finally, it does not use any adjectives that could be seen as offensive. Therefore, this is the most appropriate way to end the paragraph.
