<span>"Sarah developed Realism in "A White Heron" by giving so much detail in her story. Her story also has a lot of local colors which helps, as well as Regionalism. She details physical landscape a lot, giving the audience a feeling of being there with the character, like they are really there, and like everything is REAL. As for Bret Harte, he developed realism in Tennessee's partner by also showing lots of realism, but also because she showed how crude the men w, and how they acted and how they talked, and that helped to show the reader what it was like where they lived back then. That shows Realism. Because he showed the main characters in their real, raw, true selves, along with how they talk, act, and how they see everything."</span>

Read the excerpt from Flannery O’Connor’s “The Life You Save May Be Your Own.” “It’s nothing so sweet,” Mr. Shiftlet continued,
sineoko [7]

Answer: He speaks about morals after having just abandoned his wife at a roadside diner.

Flannery O'Connor was an American novelist, short story writer and essayist. In her story "The Life You Save May Be Your Own," she tells the story of Shiftlet, a man who arrives to a farm, where he gets offered shelter in exchange for work. After insistence from the lady who owns the farm, he ends up marrying the woman's daughter, who is deaf and mute. After the wedding, the girl and Shiflet go on their honeymoon, and they stop at a diner to eat. The girl falls asleep at the table and Shiftlet leaves the diner, abandoning her. As he drives off, he picks up a hitchhiker, and this is where the dialogue appears. Shiftlet talks to the hitchhiker about how wonderful his mother was, and how important it is to appreciate mothers.

The scene is ironic because Shiftlet is discussing the importance of morality, and of how his mother taught him right from wrong, yet he just abandoned his wife at a diner, which is a clear contradiction and shows that his moral code is not the best.

Write an essay in post colonialism literature give reference from the two book and five article
nydimaria [60]

Answer:

Like other national literatures, American literature was shaped by the history of the country that produced it. For almost a century and a half, America was merely a group of colonies scattered along the eastern seaboard of the North American continent—colonies from which a few hardy souls tentatively ventured westward. After a successful rebellion against the motherland, America became the United States, a nation. By the end of the 19th century this nation extended southward to the Gulf of Mexico, northward to the 49th parallel, and westward to the Pacific. By the end of the 19th century, too, it had taken its place among the powers of the world—its fortunes so interrelated with those of other nations that inevitably it became involved in two world wars and, following these conflicts, with the problems of Europe and East Asia. Meanwhile, the rise of science and industry, as well as changes in ways of thinking and feeling, wrought many modifications in people’s lives. All these factors in the development of the United States molded the literature of the country.
