After World War II, Europe was the most affected territory and needed help to recovery from the damages. The United States, as one of the countries in better condition after the war, encouraged other Europeans nations to adopt democratic governments as one  of the criteria to get financial support  from them.

It is understandable why the United States opposed the totalitarian system of the Soviet Union ,which ended up becoming a dictatorship, as they were not only opposite in politics, but also in economical and social matters. Those two countries became opponents at Cold War.

The Cold War got its name because both sides were afraid of fighting each other directly.

Why is the main reason why the crime index no longer included in the ucr?
vovangra [49]
The reason why the crime indexes no longer included in the uniform crime reporting program is that it showed that larceny theft was the largest of the categories so it carried undue weight and led the under appreciation of changes in the rates of more violence and serious crimes. The uniform crime reporting is an older system and only records index crimes. The problem with the uniform crime reporting is that many crimes are reported inaccurately or not at all. The uniform crime reporting program publishes crime in the united states, which provides an annual summary of the incidence and rate of reported crimes throughout the united states.
