The American Civil War from 1861 to 1865 paved the path for the new form of Federalism in the United States, the Constitution itself created an outline for two types of government being national and state government; the national governments were responsible for security, foreign policy, and commerce, whereas the state governments were predominantly responsible for local laws, economic regulation and criminal law. During the Civil war, conflict arose from whether the States had autonomy over certain laws, this paved the way for the desire to dissolve the Union, however, the union victory solidified the federal government's ultimate power over the States.

Write a short speech convincing William and Mary to accept the English Bill of Rights.
Arada [10]

Your Highness,

it is from deep respect for the crown and the old ways of our countries that I ask you only to hear my claims.

We are going through a new dawn of men. People want to guide their own fate in many ways now, and those desires cannot be fulfilled by the crown. Any crown. Only the people can guide the people to where they wish to go, even if that is not a good place to be.

Although the crown cannot provide the sense of power over our destinies that we all wish to have at some point during our lives, the people has deep respect for culture and traditions, and there is no kingdom without a King or a Queen.

So I humbly ask of thee to represent us, to hear the people and to be the voice of reason, the voice of men and the voice of women to other countries and to the parliament.

Be our King and our Queen, but not above the law. Be the greatest you can be by following the same rules that the other countrymen will follow, and I promise much more respect and admiration from all than you would ever have through the old ways.
