While ethological theory stresses biological factors, ecological theory emphasizes environmental factors.

Ethological theory was collectively proposed by three European scientists Karl von Frisch, Konrad Lorenz, and Nicolas Tinbergen. The three won the Nobel in 1973 for such scientific contribution.

Ethological theory claims that our behavior is an element of our biological structure. in step with ethological theory, even as a toddler may receive certain physical characteristics passed on from a previous generation, so to the kid inherits certain behavioral traits to survive.

Examples of ethological theory, when an infant's face is touched they typically turn and root for the mother's breast, helping the baby to seek out the food resource.
