The hypothesis that whales evolved from land-dwelling ancestors is supported by fossils of extinct whales that had small hind limbs.

Which fact provides the most compelling evidence that whales evolved from land-dwelling organisms?

The bony wall surrounding the ear was also present, proof of it being a whale. Drank a mix of freshwater and seawater. This discovery proved Darwin's theory - whales and dolphins descended from mammals that walked on land and that their ancestors had gradually evolved into animals living in the ocean, without legs.

The bone structure of both their skulls was similar. This suggests that in an earlier time whales and dogs could have evolved from the same organism. The common ancestor in the 2 animals shares notable traits.

castortr0y [4]

Answer:

Option D “Communities in the real world are more appropriate”.

Explanation:

Regarding behavior, cyber communities promotes an effect known as ‘Online disinhibition effect’, in which virtual users feel less constraints in regards with their manners, feeling free to express with no filters, all increased by some elements exclusive from this platform (being anonymous, not feeling the response of the attacks to other person, invisibility, lack of importance on feelings on others, cyberbullying, not being responsible of what one says).

11. Despite everything, Jeannette refuses to condemn her parents. Were you able, as a reader, to remain equally nonjudgmental? W
Sveta_85 [38]

Answer:

No, as a reader, I wasn't able to remain equally nonjudgmental as Jeanette.

Explanation:

I wasn't able to remain equally nonjudgmental as Jeanette because she was brought up in a family where she thinks that her parents had done much more for her than she deserves.

Jeanette refuses to condemn her parents because she is sentimentally connected to them so much. As a reader, I feel that her parents have failed to protect her from sexual predators as they thought that it was normal when in reality it was their duty to protect her from any potential threat.

Jeanette also feels that she should not confront her parents with her personal problems. However, it is rather the parents who have made it 'normal' for her to feel that some things are meant to just 'let it slip'. This is why I think her parents have failed in my perspective.

False

Explanation:

The statement is false, as the Battle of Gettysburg resulted in a defeat for the southern Army.

The Battle of Gettysburg was a battle of the Civil War, fought between July 1 and 3, 1863 around the town of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, as part of the Gettysburg campaign. It was the battle with more casualties in the United States, and it is considered the turning point of the Civil War along with the siege of Vicksburg.
