The medieval period is being talked about in the passage of Sec. 12 from Saki's "The Open Window"

The reader can conclude that the passage takes place during the medieval period because it depicts the entire situation that occurred during that time. There are events that can be paired with events from the real-life medieval period. The Dark Ages are another name for the Medieval period.

The open window summary is a great way to learn about the story in a nutshell. It follows Framton as he settles into a new town. He wishes to cure his nerves, and his sister, who lives nearby, assists him. Mrs. Sappleton, one of her acquaintances, agrees to meet with her.

When he arrives at her house, he meets her niece, Vera. She points to an open window and tells him why it's open. Her aunt's husband and his two brothers were killed in a tragic hunting accident, she tells Framton.

Furthermore, she warns him that Mrs. Sappleton is expecting their return and has left the window open. Mrs. Sappleton finally arrives and informs him that she is waiting for her husband. This disturbs Framton, and he is horrified when three men in hunting gear approach him. As a result, he flees the house.
