The expressions derived from the parent functions are listed below:

Case 7: g(x) = x² - 2

Case 8: g(x) = |x + 3|

Case 9: g(x) = x + 1

Case 10: g(x) = |x - 1| - 2

Case 11: g(x) = |x + 3| + 1

Case 12: g(x) = (x + 2)² + 4

What are the equations of the images derived from parent functions?

In this problem we have six different parent function, of which we must derive the expression of six images by using translation formulas. There are two kinds of translations: (i) Horizontal, (ii) Vertical.

Case 7

f(x) = x²

g(x) = f(x) - 2

g(x) = x² - 2

Case 8

f(x) = |x|

g(x) = f(x + 3)

g(x) = |x + 3|

Case 9

f(x) = x

g(x) = f(x) + 1

g(x) = x + 1

Case 10

f(x) = |x|

g(x) = f(x - 1) - 2

g(x) = |x - 1| - 2

Case 11

f(x) = |x|

g(x) = f(x + 3) + 1

g(x) = |x + 3| + 1

Case 12

f(x) = x²

g(x) = f(x + 2) - 4

g(x) = (x + 2)² + 4

5+ 1/7b = -2
whats be and explanation
(don't get it cause its a fraction)
oee [108]
5+(1/7)b=-2

First subtract 5 from both sides. Our goal is to isolate b.
5+(1/7)b-5= -2-5
(1/7)b= -7

Now multiply both sides by 7 because (1/7)*7= 7/7 or 1.
7* (1/7)b= -7*7
1b= -49

Final answer: b= -49

The three inside angles (A,B and C) of a right angled triangle are in the ratio 7:18:11
Anastasy [175]

This is overdetermined. Without looking at the ratio (except for the order of the sides) the actute angles in a right triangle are complementary so the answer must be:

Answer: A=35°, C=90°, B=55°

We can do it the way they like.

7+18+11 =36

so to get 180 degrees we need to scale the ratio elements by a factor of 5.

7:18:11=35:90:55

A is the smallest. We see C is indeed a right angle and B is complementary to A.

I don't know whats wrong, please help. It is the exact formula.
const2013 [10]
The formula for circumference is 2\pir, where r is equal to radius.
It states to use 3.142 for pi
It also provides you with the diameter, not the radius, so you have to divide it by two to get 4.5
2*3.142*4.5= approximately 28.278 or 28.3
