The four methods to analyze politics and governments allow us to have different points of view on the same topic to build a comprehensive conclusion.

What are the methods of political analysis?

Political analysis methods are ways of studying in detail how politics and government work in given situations. In general, these methods are a tool to observe the factors that affect the government in order to establish frequent manifestations, and to be able to compare two or more countries. The analysis methods are:

 • Comparing and contrasting: This method allows us to compare two or more countries based on different factors such as their economic development, their culture, their internal and external policies, form of government, among others.
 • Making generalizations: This method allows us to conclude generally about a group of countries or states that have adopted the same policies regarding a specific issue.
 • Drawing conclusions using data: This method must be based on data obtained in true studies to draw conclusions about the operation of a specific policy or a certain form of government.
 • Making predictions: This method allows analysts to interpret the previous methods to establish a prediction that justifies the direction of a policy and its consequences.

klemol [59]

Answer:

The financial crisis that began in the 1980s was the result of lax government regulations and management fraud that led to the closure of more than 1,000 savings and loans. The 2007 crisis was the result of risky mortgage loans and investments connected with those loans. In each case the situation resulted in borrowers’ inability to pay back loans and caused many to lose their homes due to foreclosure.
