The Chaco Canyon was elated to Mesa Verde because the vast network centered on Chaco Canyon was connected tp the Pueblo people of the Mesa Verde region with new people, new ideas, and new goods from far beyond their traditional homeland.

The Chaco and Mesa Verde exemplify innovative advancements because the Chaco built large housing structures using stones and clay. Also, the people of Mesa Verde built multi-story homes into the sides of cliffs using bricks made of sandstone.
