In The Canterbury Tales, pilgrims relate the stories on their way to the shrine of Thomas Becket in Canterbury-

In "The Pardoner's story", Chaucer openly ridicules religious practices of the time.

firstly, the Pardoner is a fraudster who doesn't even hide it. He brazenly talks about all of his techniques of tricking humans into paying him money. much like the Catholic Church itself (on the time), he capitalizes on people's private and maximum irrational fear of eternal dam.country, pardoning their sins in exchange for huge sums of cash. He does not even care if his customers are single mothers, widows, or other poor people. He contains round fake relics which he sells to people. most importantly, he doesn't hide it - and this is another crucial issue of church practices which Chaucer criticizes via his work.

The finest irony is that the Pardoner tells a tale with a moral that greed is the basis of all evil (as he repeats a couple of instances). His story is about three reckless hedonists who are looking for loss of life, most effective to find gold over which they'll fight every other and die. Chaucer uses this tale inside a story to satirize the church's hypocrisy.

Waverly's relationship with her mother changed from the start to the end drastically. At first, Waverly would listen to her mother when her mother told her to do something ("Bite your tongue") and would take that as an educational moment. As time went on though, her mother would try to observe Waverly in case she needed her guidance. "My mother had a habit of standing over me while I plotted out my games" shows this. This is around where her relationship starts changing. "Ma, I can't practice when you're standing there like that" shows that Waverly is already getting agitated with her mother. Later, her mother takes her out to the market and shows off Waverly proudly. Waverly, however, does not take this as a compliment and their relationship stoops lower. "(Waverly) I wish you wouldn't do that, telling everybody I'm your daughter" turns into "(My mother's) eyes turned into black slits... Aii-ya! Stpuid girl!". This is too much for Waverly to take and she runs off into a dark alley. At this moment, they are both fuming at each other. However, we can theorize that even though their relationship isn't the best currently, the mother will come back for Waverly by the end due to the fact it cuts off at "I thought and imagined she wouldn't come back. Then two" gives us a clue as to what will happen. Waverly will end up being reunited with her mother and their relationship will likely mend. In conclusion, their relationship changed drastically from start to finish, quickly going downhill.

I misspelled stpuid because. Brainly.

How to buy things online. Millions of people shop online everyday.

step 1 get out your device. you will need a phone, computer, tablet ext for this...

step 2. have on wifi. cant shop without wifi

step 3 pull up whatever sight your purchasing off of.

step 4 know what your buying.

step 5 try not to go over budget. spending to much is a thing, and people go crazy when it comes to shopping, especially online. try to spend a certain amount of money, this helps you save for better things. like lets say i have a amount of 300$ and i want to shop. i should only spend 150$ to save half of it to save for something i may need later. doesnt necessailry mean your going to spend half of it either, but you know how ppl shop these days.... -.- smh

step 6 if you are buying clothes you better know your size lool. but some sizes maybe different i thik it depends where you live or what you base off from like small, medium, large or a specific size like a 16. not into fashion so i dont know much about how sizing works other than small medium or large and you got the extra large. idk if this is similar to every country but sometimes they base off of number size as i mentioned above..

step 7 purchase whatever your buying. you got to know your credit card information whether you use visa or whatever you use

step 7 wait. this is the last step. waiting takes like 7-14 days depending on where your buying something from. lets say you live in the uk and you purchase something from idk russia. it will take a couple days to weeks depending on shipping or however their systems work with shipping..

step 8 you got your items. great

step 9 repeat all over again.
