In many individuals, fatty liver may be associated with steatohepatitis, and hepatomegaly

What is Steatohepatitis ?

An advanced form of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease is steatohepatitis (NAFLD). If you have fatty liver disease, your liver has started to store extra fat. People don't always have issues because of this. When it happens, though, it is known as steatohepatitis.
Non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) is an accumulation of fat in the liver that results in inflammation and damage to the liver. It belongs to a class of diseases known as nonalcoholic fatty liver disease.
An organism's environment can affect its appearance. Ex. tiger salamanders deprived of iodine looked completely different and were at first considered another species. Later found to be the environment that caused the change.
