  • Native Americans becoming Christians.

Colonial America had several examples of cultural diffusion and one of them was Native cultures becoming patriarchal. A lot of Native cultures were matriachal and believed that women should make major decisions but after they mixed with the patriarchal societies of Europeans, they became more patriarchal.

There was also the religious aspects. Previously, Native Americans worshipped things in nature but after mixing with the Europeans, cultural diffusion led to many accepting Christianity and leaving their religions behind.
