Citizen groups are alliances of individuals who decide to come together in a group to serve or address specific situations or redressal of problems.

Sociologists have outlined three types of economic systems. Name each one and give a brief description of it.
Nostrana [21]

Pre-industrial, industrial, and post-industrial are three types of economic systems outlined by sociologists.

Descriptions -

Pre-industrial: In this economic system, the dependence of the population is largely on agriculture and allied occupations. The penetration of technology in this system is negligible. Most activities are carried out manually and thus, the productivity is way too less. This system is characterized by little to no economic prosperity and a prolonged lack of sound financial sources.

Industrial: Major dependence on machines and advanced technology for mass production of goods is the main characteristic of this system. This system also helps in reducing disguised employment and increasing real employment. A faster flow of output against the input is the primary reason behind the growth evident in this system.

Post-industrial: This economic system is characterized by the exchange of services more than tangible commodities. This system is comparatively the fastest as far as growth is concerned. Only because there are no physical goods involved, this system functions the fastest. Services like management, consultancies, administration, etc, are parts of this system.

The main reasons for imposing a tariff are _______.
Setler79 [48]

Answer:

The main reasons for imposing a tariff are B tariff revenue and protecting jobs

Explanation:

Tariffs are essentially a tax payable on imports of goods to the custom authority of the consumer’s country so as to discourage excessive imports which may have a detrimental effect on the domestic economy.

The first main reason for imposing of tariff is Tariff Revenue. This basically means that the Government gain a hefty amount as taxes on imports not only from the manufacturers but also the domestic importers and thus forms a part of its revenue which is spent on the country’s developmental plans.

Secondly, tariffs are imposed for protecting jobs by preserving the domestic industry. This is especially the case when goods are imported from mass manufacturers in countries like China etc which pose a serious threat to small and medium scale industries in the Domestic market. By imposing tariff, these imported products are made more expensive, preventing losses to domestic producers and therefore protecting jobs.
