We're talking about an avoidant personality disorder here.

What is a personality problem known as avoidance?

An avoidant personality disorder is one of the illnesses categorized as personality disorders. These conditions are typically long-lasting patterns of behavior that go against social norms and harm the person who has them as well as those around them. An avoidant personality disorder is connected to other personality disorders marked by anxiety and apprehension. Inadequacies are usually felt by those with avoidant personality disorder, and they are particularly sensitive to criticism from others. Despite desiring to interact with people, individuals often avoid doing so because they are so nervous about being rejected.

It is estimated that 2.4% of Americans suffer from an avoidant personality disorder. Men and women appear to be affected equally. Like other personality disorders, an avoidant personality disorder can manifest in childhood, but issues typically arise throughout puberty or the first few years of adulthood. An avoidant personality disorder is not commonly diagnosed in people under the age of 18, like many other personality disorders, because there must be proof that certain behavioral patterns are enduring and rigid, and difficult to alter over time.

Therefore, social inhibition, hypersensitivity to negative evaluation, and feelings of inadequacy are all symptoms of avoidant personality disorder.

In one or two sentences, describe why decisions are based on expected costs and benefits.
Ymorist [56]
♦Long version: Generally, man wants to engage in feasible business or investment that will bring profits or benefits. Because of this, before engaging in the business or purchasing of a product, he usually weights the costs and the benefits that will be derived. If the benefits are higher than the costs, he will usually be ready to engage in the business or buy the product, but if the reverse is the case, he will see no reason for engaging in such a business.
♦Short version: Because we are human beings and we instinctively will do what is most beneficial to us. This includes low costs and high benefits. Whatever benefits is us worth the time
