Answer: D - Puritans wanted to purify the church of England (from within) while the Pilgrims wanted to separate from the church of England entirely.

Explanation: See https://www.history.com/news/pilgrims-puritans-differences:

"The biggest difference between the Separatists and the Puritans is that the Puritans believed they could live out the congregational way in their local churches without abandoning the larger Church of England."

The basic literary devices for short stories, biographies etc... are Tone is the authors voice or style in a writing ;could be comical, compassionate;you can find this by noticing the setting, the time period, the characters and the narrators Point of View on the story. Theme is what the author is trying to say,why he wrote the story, the underlying meaning or lesson. Plot is simply the sequence of related events in the story. Conflict is the struggle or opposing force between the main character and something or someone else. Setting is the time and place the story takes place. Juxtaposition is a unique slang or way of speaking among a certain group; a dialect even. Read the passage.
pishuonlain [190]

D) he is grumpy and immature. The reasoning behind this is that Dussel has not spoken with the Van Daans for 10 days, making him considerably grumpy. He is also not supposed to sit in the office downstairs on saturdays and sundays, but does it anyways. This behavior reminds one of the behavior of a child, leading up to why Dussel is dubbed as “immature” aswell. I hoped this helped, I read the book not too long ago so I still remember alot if you have any more questions, let me know !!
