Dolbear's law states the relationship between the rate at which Snowy Tree Crickets chirp and the air temperature of their envir

onment. The formula is T=50 + N - 40/4
, where T is a temperature in degrees Fahrenheit and N is a number of chirps per minute. If T = 52°F, find the number of chirps per minute.

The number of chirpes per minute if the temperature in degrees Fahrenheit is 52 is 12 chirpes per minutes

Function and values

According to Dolbear's law that states the relationship between the rate at which Snowy Tree Crickets chirp and the air temperature of their environment according to the equation;

T = 50 + N - 40/4

where;

T is a temperature in degrees Fahrenheit and;

N is a number of chirps per minute.

Given the following parameters

T = 52°F

Substitute the temperature into the formula;

52 = 50 + N - 40/4

52-50 =N - 10
2 = N - 10
N = 2 + 10

N = 12chirpes

Hence the number of chirpes per minute if the temperature in degrees Fahrenheit is 52 is 12 chirpes per minutes
