The nurse should be concerned if patient complains of muscle pain. Azithromycin is used to treat certain bacterial infection for example- STD  and infections of the ears , lungs, sinuses , skin , throat and reproductive organs.

Azithromycin is an antibiotic which treat many types of bacterial infections. Also prevent these infection from getting spread. It takes one week to cure any infection .It does not work against viruses.

There are some side effects like it can increase the risk of serious heart or blood vessel problems . Simvastatin are linked to rare but potentially serious effects which includes myositis, it inflammation of muscles.
