<u>1/2 value</u><u> can be used as the </u><u>common ratio</u><u> in an explicit formula that represents </u><u>the sequence.</u>

Definition of sequence -

  • The following of one thing after another; succession. order of succession: a list of books in alphabetical sequence.
  • A continuous or connected series: a sonnet sequence. something that follows; a subsequent event; result; consequence.

A sequence that progresses geometrically has the first term as 12.

Each number is the previous number divided by 2.

so the sequence will be 12, 6, 3, 1.5...........

Explicit formula of a geometric sequence is given by

T_{n}  = ar^{n-1}

Where T_{n}  = nth term of the sequence

a = first term

r = common ratio

and n = number of term

In this sequence common ratio = \frac{Successive term }{previous term}

            = 6/12

            =  1/2

Therefore, common ratio will be 1/2.

The mean of the scores is 90 what is the sum of the scores
Alik [6]

Answer:

x*90= your answer.

Step-by-step explanation:

X being however many test scores there are.

If you have 4 test scores, you would multiply 4*90=360

If you had 3 test scores, you would do it again, 3*90=270.

And so on. Because the test scores number wasn't listed, I provided some answers on how to solve it.

A certain circuit board consists of two resistors, green and red. The circuit board manufacturer has two huge bins filled with t
Lesechka [4]

Answer:

(a) 0.675

(b) 0.3

Step-by-step explanation:

P(R) = 90\% = 0.9 (Probability of functional red)

P(\sim R) = 90\% = 1 - 0.9 = 0.1 (Probability of non-functional red)

P(G) = 75\% = 0.75 (Probability of functional green)

P(\sim G) = 1 - P(G) = 1 - 0.75 = 0.25 (Probability of non-functional green)

(a) The probability the board is functional is the probability that the red and the green resistors are functional.

P(\text{board is functional}) = P(R\cap G) = P(R) \times P(G) = 0.9\times0.75 = 0.675

(b) The probability that exactly one of the resistors chosen is functional is the probability that either red is functional and green is not or green is functional and red is not.

P(\text{exactly one is functional}) = P((R\cap \sim G) \cup (G\cap \sim R))

P(\text{exactly one is functional}) = P(R\cap \sim G) + P(G\cap \sim R) = (P(R) \times P(\sim G)) + (P(G) \times P(\sim R))

P(\text{exactly one is functional}) = (0.9 \times 0.25) + (0.75 \times 0.1) = 0.225 + 0.075 = 0.3
