The function of chylomicrons is to transport lipids from the intestine to other organs.

Hence option (c) is correct.

Chylomicrons, also known as ultra low-density lipoproteins (ULDL), are lipoprotein particles that are composed primarily of triglycerides (85-92%), phospholipids (6-12%), cholesterol (1-3%), and proteins (1-2%).

Chylomicrons carry lipids ingested from the intestine to the adipose, cardiac, and skeletal muscle tissue, where their triglyceride components are digested by the action of the lipoprotein lipase, releasing the free fatty acids that can then be absorbed by the tissues.

The term "chylomicron" comes from the Greek words "chylos" (meaning juice (of plants or animals) and "micron" (meaning small particle).

They move dietary fats out of the intestines and into other parts of the body.

One of the five main categories of lipoproteins (grouped by density) that allow lipids and cholesterol to circulate inside the bloodstream's water-based solution is the ULDLs.

<h2>Nuclear Envelope</h2>

Explanation:

  • <em>The endomembrane system</em> includes the nuclear envelope, the <em>endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi mechanical assembly, lysosomes, vesicles, just as the plasma layer</em>
  • These cell parts cooperate to <em>alter, bundle, tag, and transport layer lipids and proteins </em>
  • The nuclear envelope is a double membrane, implying that there are <em>two lipid bilayers</em>
  • The nuclear lamina, a netlike cluster of <em>protein filaments, associates the layers of the nuclear envelope</em>

How much of our total body weight is water? 30-50 percent 40-60 percent 50-70 percent 60-80 percent?
laila [671]
50-70%. At the age of 1, percentage is around 65%. In adult men, 60% of their bodies is water. 55% of adult women's weight is water due to fat not holding as much water as lean tissue; fat makes up more of women's bodies than men.
