The most difficult or stressful situation I have encountered as a paediatric nurse is difficulty in communication.

A paediatric nurse is an individual that has undergone training in an accredited institution or university and has been certified and licensed to practice as a nurse who takes care of neonates, children and adolescents.

The most difficult and stressful situation that may be encountered while practicing as a paediatric nurse include the following:

  • Communication Difficulties: This is a key aspect of a nurse's job is communicating with patients. But when you fail to obtain enough information from the patient which is needful in for their treatment plan it's tends to be stressful on the nurse.

  • Resistance: Pediatric patients sometimes refuse to cooperate with the treatments and medications prescribed by doctors.

  • Emotional Stress, and

  • Interacting with Family Members.
