Answer:

a) Rental charge for 3 days = $ 66

b) Rental charge for 7 days = $ 131

Step-by-step explanation:

a) Rent for 3 days.

       Fixed rate = $ 45

   Rate per day = $ 7

To find the rent for 3 days, multiply  the unit rate by 3   and then add it to the fixed rate.

    C(3) = 7*3 + 45

            =  21 + 45

            = $ 66

b) Rental charge for 7 days.

We have to find the rent for 3 days and then  the rent for remaining 4  (7-3) days.

     Rent for first 3 days = C(3)

                                       = $ 66

The unit rate for the next 4 days is $5.

     Rent for next 4 days = C(4)

                                        = 5*4 + 45

                                         = 20 + 45

                                         = $ 65

Rent for 7 days =  66 + 65

                          = $ 131

Ella and three friends run in a relay race that is 14 miles on each person runs equal parts of their race how many miles does ea
Lerok [7]

To find out how many miles does each person run, we can divide the total miles by 4 as each part is equal:

14÷4

=3.5miles

Each of them have to run 3.5 miles.

To prove the answer, we can multiply it by 4 to see if it is the original distance:

3.5 x 4

=14miles

Therefore 3.5 is the answer.

Hope it helps!

What is the slope of the line -3y = 12x + 6?
Deffense [45]

Answer:

-4

Step-by-step explanation:

Let us rearrange this equation by dividing both sides by (-3):

y=-4x-2

And since the equation of a line is y=mx+b, where slope=m,

then the slope of our line is -4
