Why did the student protest at Tiananmen Square of 1989 fail
lilavasa [31]

The student protest at Tiananmen Square of 1989 failed because the government was in chaos.

Answer: Option C

Explanation:

The death of Hu Yaobang enraged a lot of people, especially the students, leading to a lot of protests. During the initial stages of the protest, the government of China was reluctant to take any action against the rising protests, because the government was in chaos.

Some officials of the government wanted to respond with violence, whereas some voted to respond in a non violent manner. It lead to a lot of confusions, but finally the Hardliners won the debate and responded by imposing martial law on the protesting people in Beijing.

What advantages did the spanish have over the indigenous people of the americas?
slega [8]
First of all, the Spanish (along with the rest of the large European countries at the time) had guns and other military technology. With the advantage of having gunpowder, the Spanish were able to relatively easily conquer the indigenous peoples in the Americas. Another point is the Spanish military training; the American civilizations had no military training that matched the strict codes of the European countries, so the precision of the Spanish helped them conquer.
