This man was an English naval officer and a sailor. He was the one that acted as the deputy governor of Virgi/nia. He was also one of the person that was resident in Jamestown at the town.

He had capture Pocahontas during the issues that he had with the native Indians. She was the daughter of the chief. He had held on to her so as to use her as the security that would help him to get his men back.
