What is triangle trade route?

The three-legged path that made up the Atlantic slave trade was known as the triangle trade route. Three general regions on either side of the Atlantic Ocean had a flood of trade. On a map, these territories appear as a rough triangle. They were located throughout the Americas, Europe, and Africa. In the early 1500s, the Atlantic slave trade started. In 1807, England declared it unlawful, and 1808, the United States followed suit. Nevertheless, the illegal slave trade persisted for nearly 400 years, until the late 1800s.

A typical British ship would leave New England carrying rum, swap the rum for slaves in Africa, and then continue on the "triangle trade" route to sell slaves in America for tobacco and molasses.

The correct answer is - Exports grew significantly in the 1820's.

This graph shows us the exports of opium by the British toward China. Starting from the year of 1729 the exports of opium in China constantly grew, though relatively slowly. In 1790 there's significant rise in the exports, but that it kind of stagnates and the growth is minimal in next three decades.

From the begging of the 1820's to the end of the 1820's the exports of opium start to grow very quickly. The rise in exports was so quick that in just this decade the exports of opium went up by around three times (tripled).

That trend of rapid growth in the opium exports continued in the next decade, the 1830's, as well.
