During the American revolution the political elites rose to advocated for a just government for just powers from the consent of the governed by

revising the article of confederation by having a constitutional convention in 1787

<h3>What is Constitutional convention?</h3>

This is the convention that took place in Philadelphia in 1787. it was a 100 days event with the aim of getting how America will be governed through revising the existing article of confederation. The delegates of the convention which consist of 55 men  voted George Washington to lead the event.

The constitutional convention had a successful end after 100 days debate and the resolutions was printed in dailies for public viewing.

Aside the constitutional convention the events took place within this period to mark the efforts of the political elites for just powers form the consent of the governed and these are: Shays' rebellion which was the necessitated the constitutional convention. first presidential election, ratification of the constitution and the bill of rights and so on
