Eosinophil blood cell is highlighted.

What is eosinophil?

The immune system's specialized cell is called an eosinophil. This type of pro-inflammatory white blood cell often has a bilobed, two-lobed nucleus and 200 or more big granules of cytoplasm that contain proteins and enzymes with various (known and unknown) activities.

Only in the bone marrow do eosinophils develop, and they spend around 8 days maturing there before entering the blood arteries. Before reaching their final destination tissues, where they stay for 1 to 2 weeks, they travel through the vessels for 8 to 12 hours. For this kind of cell, interleukin 5 (IL-5) seems to be the main growth factor.

Why do the navajo associate the tips of the fingers with the trail of the wind?
kozerog [31]
Allegedly, the finger tips show where the wind blew when our ancestors were created. In a way, their fingertips are roots to their ancestors, so touching them somehow links them to their ancestors. And as you probably know, the Navajo are very much connected to their ancestors, and tribes in general.

Wernicke's area _______. A. is active when speech is heard and comprehended B. is active during the generation of speech C. coor
lora16 [44]

Wernicke's area exists active when speech is heard and comprehended.

What is Wernicke?

Wernicke's encephalopathy is a degenerative condition of the brain brought on by thiamine deficiency (vitamin B1). It can be brought on by excessive drinking, nutritional deficits, chronic vomiting, eating problems, or side effects from chemotherapy. The thalamus and hypothalamus of the brain are harmed by B1 deficiency. Confusion and a loss of mental activity are among the signs of Wernicke encephalopathy, which can lead to coma and death. Ataxia, a loss of motor coordination, can lead to leg tremor. Vision changes such as double vision, drooping eyelids, and irregular eye movements (called nystagmus).

Wernicke encephalopathy is reversible, whereas Korsakoff syndrome is not, despite the fact that the two disorders are sometimes clubbed together as a single syndrome (Wernicke-Korsakoff syndrome). The two conditions are independent entities with different manifestations.

Hence, Wernicke's area exists active when speech is heard and comprehended.
