The solutions to the modulus functions are 7/ 3, 7 and 0. 6 accordingly

<h3>How to solve the equations</h3>

Note that a modulus function gives the size or magnitude of a number irrespective of its sign.

It is also called the absolute value  of a given function. It is denoted by |x|

1. |2−3x|=9

First, collect like terms

|-3x| = 9 - 2

|-3x| = 7

Make 'x' the subject

|x| = -7/3

|x| = 7/ 3

2. 8+|2x−2|=20

collect like terms

|2x - 2| = 20 -8

|2x| = 12+ 2

|2x| = 14

Make 'x' the subject

|x| = 7

3. 35|x+1|=56

|x + 1| = 56/35

|x + 1| = 1. 6

Make 'x' the subject

|x| = 1. 6 - 1

|x| = 0. 6

Thus, the solutions to the modulus functions are 7/ 3, 7 and 0. 6 accordingly.

Judy Clark went to Reel Bank. She borrowed $7,800 at a rate of 6 1/2%. The date of the loan was September 2. Judy hoped to repay
abruzzese [7]

Answer:

$7995.85

Step-by-step explanation:

We will use simple interest formula to solve our given problem.

A=P(1+rt), where,

A = Amount after t years,

P = Principal amount,

r = Annual interest rate in decimal form,

t = Time in years.

r=6.5\%=\frac{6.5}{100}=0.065

t=\text{141 days}=\frac{141}{365}\text{ year}

A=\$78001+0.065\times \frac{141}{365})

A=\$7800(1+0.065\times 0.38630136986)

A=\$7800(1+0.025109589041)

A=\$7800(1.025109589041)

A=\$7995.85479

A\approx \$7995.85

Therefore, Judy will will pay back on January 20: <u>$7995.85</u>.

A truck has a force of 2000 newtons and is moving 10 miles per hour. How much mass does the truck have?
worty [1.4K]

Answer:

Force= Mass×Accelaraion

F=m×a

But as The unit of accelaration is given miles per hour and the SI is meters per second sqaure we have to convert 10mph to m/s²

Thus, we have 10mph = 4.47 meters per second square. (i converted using scientific calculator)

So now we have,

2000N= m×4.47m/s²

= 2000/4.47m/s²=m

= 447.42

Thus the mass of the object is 447.42 (i am not sure of units)
