Answer:

Reconstruction began from 1865 until 1900. The 13th Amendment made slavery illegal, the 14th Amendment talked about rights as a citizen, and the 15th Amendment talked about equal rights. The Fifteenth Amendment banned voting discrimination based on race, color, or former slavery, allowing more Americans to engage in democracy. These measures didn't reduce tensions or resolve problems between liberated slaves and former slaveowners. The end of the war destroyed slaveowners' authority over freed slaves.

otez555 [7]

Swahili culture is the product of the history of the coastal part of the African Great Lakes region.

By the 8th century, the Swahili people became involved in the Indian Ocean trade. As a consequence, they were influenced by the Arab, Persian, Indian and Chinese cultures.

As well as in the Swahili language, Swahili culture has a Bantu core and has also borrowed foreign influences. This Bantu expansion introduced the Bantu peoples in central, southern and southeastern Africa, regions of which they were previously absent. They gradually evolved to accommodate an increase in trade (mainly with Arab traders), population growth and even more centralized urbanization, developing what would later become known as the Swahili city-states.

As we can see Arab  settlers particularly influential along the Swahili coast because they were the Bantu's major trading partner.

How did industrialization in Great britin differ from industrialization in russia
Taya2010 [7]

Answer:

Britain had an elite society that welcomed industrialization while Russia did not.

Explanation:

British elites were open to the idea of investing into railways and factories. Politically, the British also had a parliament that allowed some form of representation in the government. There was also no more serfdom at the time of industrialization in the early 1800s. On the other hand, Russian elites were very opposed to investing or industrialization as this could threaten their wealth that they already accumulated. Serfdom was still legal in Russia until March 3 1861 when Alexander II abolished it, which meant that many peasants were tied to the land and could not migrate to urban areas. Furthermore, Russia was fully autocratic unlike Britian and only saw the implementation of a parliament in 1905. All of this meant that Britain's industrialization was very quick and significantly earlier than Russia's.

Helppp with this multiple choice
allochka39001 [22]
A and D are definitely true statements. The Iroquois Confederacy initially compromised of 5 tribes and the 6th was added in the late 18th century. The Iroquois Confederacy worked as a democratic nation. Each tribe had a vote in the Confederacy congress but as a tribe remained autonomous to create and maintain their own culture.
For option C--marriage was mutual between the couple but tribal rules prevented a woman from marrying a man from her clan. Women in the tribe had a lot of say in the lives and culture of the tribe. Though men made decisions at a government level, for family women had control. Therefore option B is correct for government affairs and military endeavors but for family dynamics it is not. Women were able leave husbands, refuse marriages, and remained in their clan's long house whereas men moved into the wives' longhouse.
