These layers are the troposphere, stratosphere, mesosphere and thermosphere.

Now not only does it contain the oxygen we need to stay, however it also protects us from ultraviolet solar radiation. It creates the stress with out which liquid water could not exist on our planet's floor. And it warms our planet and maintains temperatures live for our dwelling Earth.
