Kinshasa is Capital of which country?

The largest and capital city of the Democratic Republic of the Congo is Kinshasa. It shares a single urban area with Brazzaville, the capital of the neighboring Republic of the Congo, and is located on the Congo River next to Pool Malebo. It is one of the biggest metropolitan areas in Africa and is regarded as a megacity.

The current city was founded in 1881 when Henry Morton Stanley opened a trade post there on behalf of the International Association of the Congo. In honor of King Leopold II, who served as his patron and went on to become King-Sovereign of the Congo Free State founded in 1885, he gave the town the names Léopoldville (French) and Leopoldstad (Dutch).
