Deffense [45]

Answer:

your question is not complete. I will assume this to be the complete question.

Hillary, Meredith, and Aly are sitting in their favorite coffee shop when their waiter asks: "Does everyone want coffee?" Aly replies "I don't know." Meredith then replies "I don't know" as well. Finally, Hillary says "Not everyone wants coffee." The waiter comes back and gives a coffee to each person that wants one.

Answer the following:

Did Hillary get a coffee?

Did Meredith get a coffee?

Did Aly get a coffee?

answers are as follows.

ALY GOT A COFFEE,

MEREDITH GOT A COFFEE.

HILLARY DID NOT GET A COFFEE

Explanation:

Aly wanted coffee, that is why she replied "I don't know'. She never wanted her opinion about the coffee, to be known by everyone, so she has to use logic to answer the question, meaning that she don't know for others but she really wanted it. So she is likely to collect coffee from the waiter.

Meredith, may not want to take coffee because she is still uncertain whether to take coffee or not, but because Aly has used logic to declare her interest in the coffee, she now wants to take coffee. She replied " I don't know as well", meaning that her opinion was influenced by Aly's opinion.

So SHE WILL TAKE A COFFEE.

Hillary did not want a coffee, that is why he stood to speak for those who does not want to take coffee. He replied "not everyone wants coffee", meaning he wants another alternative to coffee. He will not take a coffee.

What are the benefits of the probation system?
algol13
Probation is a penalty that can benefit the community without overextending the system in terms of resources.

Some benefits are giving the individual a second chance at becoming a law-abiding citizen and become contributive in society.
Another benefit is to allow for the individual the opportunity to care for themselves and their families without becoming dependent on the state because those on probation are required to work and earn pay in order to care for themselves / families.

Hope this helps.
