Any person who wishes to report and or file a complaint against a nurse regarding possible violations of the board rules should report the alleged violation to the board of nursing where the conduct occurred.

A violation is defined as a departure from a rule of conduct or a law. A common legal infraction is exceeding the posted speed limit when operating a vehicle. Reading someone else's journal is an example of an invasion of their privacy.

You commit a new felony while on probation, in which case you have committed substantive violations. A substantial violation goes beyond breaking a probation rule that was a result of the initial infraction. A separate conduct that includes committing a different criminal offence is referred to as a substantive violation.
