The reason that the framers felt they needed to write a declaration was out of respect for mankind and their social rules.

Why did the Framers write a declaration?

The reason why the Founding Fathers wrote out a Declaration of Independence was to justify their reasons for rebelling against the British and the English Crown. This was why the various grievances were included in the Declaration.

The Founding Fathers felt it was right to list these reasons because they believed it was the right thing to do as per social rules. They did not want it to seem as though they were rebelling for selfish reasons, but rather for just reasons.
