∠DEF and ∠FEG are supplementary. m∠DEF=(3x+5)°, and m∠FEG=(2x)°. What is the measure of ∠DEF?
Alex787 [66]

Answer:

DEF = 110

Step-by-step explanation:

Supplementary angles add to 180

3x+5  +2x = 180

Combine like terms

5x +5 = 180

Subtract 5 from each side

5x = 175

Divide each side by 5

5x/5 = 175/5

x =35

DEF = 3x+5

     = 3*35 +5

    = 105+5

   = 110

Can anybody help me with my homework please. and explain me how to got the answer. Thanks

In the problems A-F, You multiply each of the numbers by itself.  Like 9²=9×9=81

3³=3×3×3=27     6³=6×6×6=216 and so on for the other problems

G-I  is 36=6²  100=10² and so on the cube is the same except you multiply the number three times by itself.  I hope this helped a bit. Just ask if you still don't understand.

Answer: Their equations have different y-intercept but the same slope

Step-by-step explanation:

Since, the slope of the line passes through the points (2002,p) and (2011,q) is,

m_1 = \frac{q-p}{2011-2002} = \frac{q-p}{9}

Similarly, the slope of the line asses through the points (2,p) and (11,q) is,

m_2 = \frac{q-p}{11-2} = \frac{q-p}{9}

Since, m_1 = m_2

Hence, both line have the same slope.

Now, the equation of the line one having slope m_1 and passes through the point (2002,p) is,

y - p = \frac{q-p}{9}(x-2002)

Put x = 0 in the above equation,

We get, y = \frac{2000(p-q)}{9}+p

The y-intercept of the line one is (0, \frac{2000(p-q)}{9}+p)

Also, the equation of second line having slope m_2 and passes through the point (2,p)

y-p=\frac{q-p}{9}(x-2)

Put x = 0 in the above equation,

We get, y = \frac{2(p-q)}{9}+p

The y-intercept of the line one is (0, \frac{2(p-q)}{9}+p)

Thus, both line have the different y-intercepts.

⇒ Third option is correct.

A parent volunteer group is raising money by making custom hats to sell at school activities.they plan to sell the hats for $10.
Hunter-Best [27]

Answer:

Money raised($)= 6n-50

Step-by-step explanation:

they plan to sell the hats for $10. each hat $4 to make and they spend $50 for advertising.

If their are no number of hats

Cost = 50+4n

Money gotten from the n number of hats= 10(n)

If they are to make profit, the money gotten from the sales of hats should be bigger than the total cost

Money raised = money from sales- cost

Money raised= 10n -4n-50

Money raised($)= 6n-50
