Phosphate would be the limiting factor, so the answer would be B. The experiment shows that the algae is only growing if phosphate is present and when it's absent the algae does not grow. Which means that phosphate is an important variable that will determine algae growth.

If no ATP is present in the muscle cell what would be the likely result?
Elden [556K]

Answer: c. The myosin would not be able to let go of the actin

Explanation:

Muscles consists of two proteins called actin and myosin and responsible for muscle contraction.

Myosin is ATP dependant and when ATP binds to it, it is able to release the actin.

This will allow the actin and myosin to seperate from each other thus leading to muscle contraction

As you may have found, population-based patterns can be found in the genotypes of particular genes. We did this exercise on a ha
Nikolay [14]
In diseases, similar patterns of mutations in harmless genes may possibly be a cause or an effect of the disease. To investigate if it is a cause, it is worth looking into the proteins synthesized by the gene and whether it’s structure or functionality is affected by the pattern observed. It is also worth looking into the downstream effects possibly caused by the pattern in the gene. The gene may encode a non coding region which could affect post transcriptional splicing for example.

Polar ice cap in Antarctica.

Explanation:

Scientist drill ice cores from inside the polar ice cap in Antarctica to study variability of climate and differentiate that variability From global climate change. Each layer of the ice tells about weather and what the Earth was like when the first snow fell.

For example, Le grande says that as snow deposits into a growing glacier, the temperature of the air imprints on water molecules.

Icy layers hold particles, aerosols, sea salts, trace elements that were in the atmosphere before and they abide for thousands of years and provide evidence of past events.
