According to Paragraph 11,  when Equiano and the other slaves landed on the coast of Barbados, <em>"They were pent up in a slave merchant's yard to be sold."</em>

But nobody wanted to purchase the young Equiano. Just under two weeks after his arrival, he was sent to the English colony of Virginia where he was hired and put to work.

Equiano, a victim of the Atlantic slave trade, was taken from Africa to the Caribbean and sold as a slave at auction to a Royal Navy officer. Though he was actually sold for more, he bought his freedom in 1766. Equiano, a freedman in London, supported the British abolitionist movement.

<em>Hence the correct answer is option B.</em>

Suddenly Ollie was a freight train racing into the house meaning
lawyer [7]

Answer:

The full question i believe is "Suddenly, Ollie <u>was a freight train</u> racing into the house". Is the underlined phrase a simile or metaphor"? My answer to this question is Metaphor.

Explanation:

Metaphor is a figurative language  in which a thing is regarded as symbolic of something else. In this case 'was a freight train' is symbolic of something else. Metaphor has to do with applying a word or phrase to an object or an action that is not literally applicable.

When a Metaphor is used, the statement does not literally make sense, but then makes sense when the similarities between the two things becomes clear or when the individual understands the connection.
