Nutrients will remain in the alimentary canal cavity as long as they are in a space that is continuous with the outside environment through the mouth and until they pass a membrane to enter the body.

How Does the Stomach Digest Food?

  • You are unaware of the carefully planned series of actions that occur inside your body as you chew and swallow.
  • Involuntary muscle contractions known as peristalsis are responsible for moving food through your digestive system. Food travels down your food pipe in the initial phase of this voyage (esophagus). It travels from your throat to your stomach in this way. Inside your stomach, food undergoes a sizable portion of the digestion process.
  • Several digestive fluids and enzymes are produced in the stomach and mix with the food. The stomach's powerful muscles then work like a blender to transform food into a form that can be consumed.
  • The contents of the stomach gently move into a little tube at the base of the stomach once it has finished its job in the digestive process. It is known as the duodenum. It is the small intestine's beginning.
  • The subsequent phase of digestion occurs here. Food is converted into energy by the digestive juices produced in organs like the liver and pancreas.

Which of the following is an example of a learned response? OA A child figures out how to ride a bicycle. O B. An adult salmon i
FromTheMoon [43]

Answer:

Explanation:

I would say A. Learning to ride a bicycle is a process of getting on and falling off. You have no idea how to do it properly without practice. That's learned.

But look out for D. I'm not sure that that isn't instinctive. Somewhere along the line I think even a baby knows not to let his/her eyes be touched. Is it learned? It's close but A is a much better answer.

The salmon is instinctive. The plant doesn't learn to turn towards the sun. It does so because more food is produced.

What property of phospholipids gives the plasma membrane the ability to automatically assemble?
tensa zangetsu [6.8K]

Answer;

-They are polar

Explanation;

-A phospholipid is a lipid that contains a phosphate group and is a major component of cell membranes. A phospholipid consists of a hydrophilic (water-loving) head and hydrophobic (water-fearing) tail. Hydrophilic / hydrophobic layers restrict the passage of many substances.

-When phospholipids are mixed with water, they spontaneously rearrange themselves to form the lowest free-energy configuration. This means that the hydrophobic regions find ways to remove themselves from water, while the hydrophilic regions interact with water.

Imagine that you are studying two parents who are considering having children. One parent is has the genotype IAi and the other
stiks02 [169]
Parent #1 has the alleles of IA and i
Parent #2 has the alleles of IB and i
A punnet squares is a simple diagram that illustrates the possible genotypes of the offspring of these two people.
Parent #1 is across the top and Parent #2 is along the side
        IA    i
IB
   AB   IBi
i
IAi    ii

For IA or IB will be dominant to i. So for phenotype purposes their offspring have a 25% chande of being AB, 25% chance of B, 25% chance of A and a 25% change of type O (ii)
