To find the lenght of AC, since it is a right triangle we can use the Pythagorean Theorem.

Applying the Pythagorean Theorem we're going to have:

$\begin{gathered} 5^2+(AC)^2=13^2 \\ 25+(AC)^2=169 \\ (AC)^2=169-25 \\ AC=\sqrt[]{144}=12 \end{gathered}$

With this, we find the lenght of AC, it is equal to 12.

With these side lengths, we have what is called a 'Pythagorean triple'.
