A generalization is used to explain something complicated with a simple statement. It is a form of abstraction whereby common properties of specific instances are formulated as general concepts or claims. Generalizations tend not to be evident by any means, because there are typically instances of people or circumstances wherein the speculation has no significant bearing. Now, a generalization, like the conclusion of a syllogism, for example, would be a simple argument that englobes in a very general way other arguments that are difficult to understand. The generalization is contextualized and it is a very basic idea made for us to understand better some things.
