The Supreme Court gave three main reasons in favor of desegregation.

What is Supreme Court?
In most legal systems, a supreme supreme court is the highest in the court system. The terms "court of last resort," "apex court," and "high (as well as final) court of appeal" are also used to describe these types of courts. In general, no other court has the authority to review a supreme court's rulings again. Appeals from decisions of lower jury or from appellate courts with intermediate jurisdiction are typically heard by supreme courts, which primarily serve as appellate courts. Not all of the highest courts have been named as such, though. States with a civil law system frequently lack a single highest court. In some countries, like Australia, the High Court, the highest court does not go by the name "Supreme Court."

The Supreme Court gave three main reasons in favor of desegregation:
First, they argued that segregation of public schools violated the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment. Second, they argued that state-imposed segregation created a feeling of inferiority in black students, which had a detrimental effect on their educational opportunities. Third, they argued that segregation had a harmful effect on public education as a whole, by depriving it of the benefits of racial diversity.

Black students argued that attending integrated schools was essential for their personal growth and development. They argued that attending integrated schools allowed them to interact with people from all walks of life, which would help prepare them for life in the real world. They also argued that attending integrated schools would help them gain a better understanding of other cultures and break down racial stereotypes.

The reasons given by the Supreme Court and the students differ in that the Supreme Court framed the issue in terms of legal rights, while the students framed it in terms of personal growth and development. The Supreme Court was focused on the legal implications of segregation, while the students were focused on the personal benefits of attending integrated schools.

Efforts to discourage teenagers from smoking and efforts to encourage smokers to quit is an example of what type of prevention?
ASHA 777 [7]

Efforts to discourage teenagers from smoking and efforts to encourage smokers to quit is an example of primary prevention.

Preventive measures encompass a wide range of "interventions" aimed at reducing hazards or threats to health. The primary, secondary, and tertiary categories of prevention might have come about in conversations between researchers and medical experts.

Primary prevention aims to thwart disease or injury before it even begins. To achieve this, dangerous or unhealthy habits must be changed, exposure to dangers that can cause disease or injury must be reduced, and resistance to disease or damage, should exposure occur, must be strengthened.
