a Given:-

A image.

To find the total area of the given image.

So the given image is splitted into three images they are a triangle at the top and a rectangle at the middle and parallelogram at the bottom.

So the formula for triangle is,

A=\frac{1}{2}\times b\times h

So the formula for rectangle is,

A=l\times b

So the formula for parallogram is,

A=b\times h

So from the given image we have the values as,

Triangle has,

b=3,h=4

Rectangle has,

l=10,b=3

Paralleogram has,

b=5,h=2

So now we substitute the following values. so we get,

For Triangle,

\begin{gathered} A=\frac{1}{2}\times3\times4 \\ A=3\times2 \\ A=6 \end{gathered}

For Rectangle,

\begin{gathered} A=10\times3 \\ A=30 \end{gathered}

For paralleogram,

\begin{gathered} A=5\times2 \\ A=10 \end{gathered}

So the total area is,

\begin{gathered} A=6+30+10 \\ A=46 \end{gathered}

So the total area is 46 in.sq.

<span>So there are 4 books
=> 1 physics
=> 1 chemistry
=> mathematics
=> Biology
These books needs to be place on a shelf.
Now, let’s find the probability of mathematics book to be placed on top.
Let’s analyze the problem
Probability => 1 mathematics book / 4 total books
P = Probability
P = 1 / 4
P = ¼ or 0.25
Thus, the probability of mathematics book to be placed on top inside the shelf approximately is ¼ or  0.25.</span>

Plz help i do not understand the question.
gavmur [86]
The question is asking you to come up with a real-life example of something that can be represented as 15+ c= 17.50. If I were you I would do sales tax. You bought an item with a 15 dollar price tag, but when you go to check out 2.50 are added in tax to equal 17.50. to solve subtract 15 from 17.50: c= 2.50.  Your variable (c) represents the sales tax.  Hope that helps! :)
