This text is interesting because it focuses on unique themes such as solitude vs working together, due to this, I would be interested in reading the complete text and even more texts of this author.

What is the poem "Alone" by Maya Angelou about?

This poem describes the struggle from the author regarding solitude, from the first verses of the poem the author reflects on how fill fullfilment in solitude as it is expressed in "Lying, thinking. Last night, How to find my soul a home", which suggests one should always be with others.

Moreover, the author develops this idea by comparing power with money and she concludes togetherness is still the best way.

Why is this poem interesting?

This poem deals with unique themes such as loneliness vs union, which are not developed in other poems.

Why would I read this poem?

A balance is needed between being alone and being with ohters and understanding the limit of these elements is key.

Wilder's nontraditional staging methods are continued in Act II when the Stage Manager _____.
Leya [2.2K]
Portrays two characters

Through the whole play the Stage Manger takes on a role that is nontraditional for theatre. Usually the stage manager just sits off stage and calls the show, making sure it runs smoothly. In this play though, the Stage Manager is an actual character in the show, speaking to the audience.
In Act II, he goes one step further when he portrays the soda shop owner and the minister, interacting with the characters as someone else.
