w= 26.5 m

l = 87.5 m

1) Gathering the data

2p= 216

l = 3w +4

2) We can write the Perimeter as:

2P = 2(w+l) <em>Plug into that the equations above</em>

216 = 2(w +3w+4)

216 = 2(4w +4) <em>Distribute the factor</em>

216 = 8w +4

216-4 = 8w <em>Flip it</em>

8w = 212 <em>Divide both sides by 8</em>

w= 26.5

Since l = 3w +4

l = 3(26.5) +4

l= 87.5

3) So the width is 26.5 meters and the length is 87.5 meters long

Let us prove that angle 1 is complementary to angle 3 step by step.

1. We have been given that angle 1 is complementary to angle 2.

2. Since we know that complementary angles add up to 90 degrees, therefore, by the definition of complementary m\angle 1+ m\angle 2=90^{o}.

3. We have been also given that line segment  BD bisects \angle ADC.

4. By the definition of bisect \angle 2 \cong \angle 3.

5. Angles are congruent if their measures, in degrees, are equal, therefore, by angle congruence postulate  m\angle 2=m\angle 3.

6. m\angle 1+ m\angle 2=90^{o}

Upon substituting m\angle 2=m\angle 3 in above equation we will get,

m\angle 1+ m\angle 3=90^{o}

Therefore, by substitution property of equality m\angle 1+ m\angle 3=90^{o} .

Hence, proven that angle 1 is complementary to angle 3.

I'm not really sure what the question you're asking is, but if you want to know how much would be left, the answer is 19/30 pounds of clay.
