Given:-

An ordered list of numbers is called a ............

To find the answer.

The answer is sequence.

A "sequence" is an ordered list of numbers; the numbers in this ordered list are called "elements" or "terms". A "series" is the value you get when you add up all the terms of a sequence; this value is called the "sum".

Find the equation of the line that passes through the points (–2, 4) and (1, 2).
Stolb23 [73]

Answer:

The answer to your question is c)    y = (-2/3)x + 8/3

Step-by-step explanation:

Data

A (-2, 4)

B (1, 2)

Process

1.- Calculate the slope of the line

-Formula

  m = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1)

  x1 = -2    y1 = 4    x2 = 1   y2 = 2

-Substitution

  m = (2 - 4) / (1 + 2)

-Simplification

  m = -2/3

2.- Find the equation of the line

Formula

    y - y1 = m(x - x1)

-Substitution

   y - 4 = -2/3 (x + 2)

-Simplify

   y - 4 = (-2/3)x - 4/3

   y = (-2/3)x - 4/3 + 4

   y = (-2/3)x - 4/3 + 12/3

-Result

   y = (-2/3)x + 8/3

Toski is building a room that is 18 feet long and 14 feet wide. Construct a scale drawing of the shed. Use a scale of inch = 2 f
AURORKA [14]

Answer:

Option A is the answer

Step-by-step explanation:

Toski is building a room having length = 18 feet

Width of the room = 14 feet

Scale has been given as 1 inch = 2 feet

∵ 2 feet = 1 inch

∴ 1 feet = \frac{1}{2} feet

∴ 18 feet length of the room = \frac{18}{2}=9 inches

Similarly 14 feet width of the room = \frac{14}{2}=7 inch

Now we count the small blocks in the given options.

Option A has 9 blocks or 9 inches as the length of the room and 7 blocks or 7 inches as the width of the room.

Option A is the answer.

I believe you MEANT 8/(x^2-25)+9/(x-5) Parentheses in this format are important...the way you typed it means (8/x^2)-25+(9/x)-5 which I doubt you mean. Anyway.

If you factor the first denominator you will see that it is equal to (x+5)(x-5). Division by zero has no meaning so x cannot equal -5 or 5.

If we multiply the second fraction by (x+5) we will have a common denominator of (x^2-25) for the entire equation leaving us with:

(8+9x+45)/(x^2-25)

(9x+53)/(x^2-25)

The second problem is worked in exactly the same way, notice that there is no "solution" as there is no equal sign. This is an "expression" not an "equation".
