The form of government that would use the divine right throughout the Middle Ages in Europe was an Absolute Monarchy.

The Divine Right of a King or Queen meant that the King or Queen was appointed to the throne by God himself which gave the monarchy powers and influence.

This was because God was considered to be the overall and absolute ruler of all man so if he appointed a representative this meant that the representative should have absolute power as well.
