In what way did the Treaty of Versailles (which ended WW1) help lead to WW2?
natima [27]
The Treaty of Versailles was very harsh on Germany and promoted the rise of Nazism which was very aggresive and put other nations in threat.

The Treaty of Versailles demanded Germany to accept the war guilt clause, and the civilians were discontent about the government accepting the great humiliation towards Germany. They desired a stronger government that can return their national sovereignty and bring them national glory. This gave rise to Hitler who promised to bring national glory to Germany.

The Treaty also demanded a compensation of 6.6 Billion,as well as losing all colonies and had to cede territories. This caused Germany’s to suffer from economic collapse, and hyperinflation had caused civilians lives to be harsh. Many lost their jobs as well. The civilians thought the government at the time,Weimar Republic was weak and unable to solve the problems hence wished for a stronger leader. This again contributed to the rise of Hitler.

As Nazism rise, the nation adopted an expansionism policy hence actively invading other nations. It was until Germany set it's hand on Czechoslovakia that Britain and Frace decide it can no longer be tolerated, thus WWII broke out.

Hope it helps!

Which rebellion led to the overthrow of the Qing dynasty? Why?
natita [175]

Answer:

Xinhai Revolution or 辛亥革命

Explanation:

There were multiple revolutions during the Qing Dynasty, such as the Revolt of the Three Feudatories, White Lotus Rebellion, Eight Trigrams uprising of 1813, Taiping Rebellion, Nian Rebellion, Du Wenxiu Rebellion, Dungan revolts, and the Boxer Rebellion. This was to be understanded - the Qing were of the Manchu tribe - not of the Han, and so the Chinese do not like them much. However, the Qing have supressed them all, until the Xinhai Revolution. There were two main reasons why they were succesful: the Qing was weak, foreign countries are all coming in and trying to get a piece of China. Another reason was their equipment was far more advanced then most other rebellions during the Qing: they had Western guns and bullets. So that was why they were so succesful.

Compare and contrast the political ideals of capitalism, socialism ,and communism.
jok3333 [9.3K]
All three are ways of approaching the economic system and how much the government should be involved in that system.
Capitalism involves private ownership of businesses with little to no government interference or regulation. Most countries do not run on laissez-faire capitalism in which there is no gov't regulation. However more run as a blend between capitalism and socialism.
In socialism, the government owns the means of production and sets pricing, wages, quotas, and production. Often managers are government appointed and the workers all receive an equal wage for their work. Cooperation is key to the success of socialism. This is also the step between an overthrow of capitalism to full communism.
In communism, the means of production are owned by the people and the gov't is no longer needed to regulate business and/or wages. It is a complete cooperative state where the workers work for the good of all.
